Welcome to Our Family Owned Independent Bookstore!

We are Book Haven.

Located in a small country town near the chain of lakes in southern Michigan we see an amazing number of both locals and visitors. Inside we hope you’ll find a welcoming environment. The freshly brewed coffee, which we also sell in bulk beans, gives the air a homey and welcoming scent.

 We are mostly a used bookstore but we also have greeting cards, a selection of new books for all ages, some novelty items that make great gifts and souvenirs, and several handcrafted items from other Michiganders. We love supporting others in our community and also have books by local authors.

 Once past the entrance you’ll notice our children’s area. We want you and your children to feel welcome here. We have books for all ages and a selection of toys for kids to play with while in store. Snuggle up on the couch and read a book or two with your littles or leave them to play while you browse your own favorite authors.

 Our store encompasses three storefronts on the busy US 12. Two full store fronts are nothing but shelves and shelves of books in nearly every imaginable genre.  Our young adult area features bean bag chairs, and the front window in one storefront has a couch where you can lounge and watch traffic flow by.

 Our six children have found a second home here at Book Haven and are often found roaming through the stacks, playing in the children’s area, or reading in one of our comfy reading spots. We hope you’ll stop by and be part of our family, part of our community.
