Review: Terri Blackstock’s “If I Run”

May 30, 2019

Somewhere out there you will find book reviews on the newest and the latest and the greatest books. This is not that place. Given that we are a used bookstore we aren’t often reading the newest and the latest, we’re reading older books. I promise though that these books are still awesome!

Book Title: If I Run by Terri Blackstock

Book Genre: Christian suspense/mystery

This book is part of a trilogy. It is book 1. I’m not really sure I can review just book one though. This book and the two that followed were engaging and well written. I’ve long been a Terri Blackstock fan and I highly highly recommend this series (so much so that I’ve stocked it in our new books). If you are a fan of mystery/suspense this book is really good. The characters were well developed and when I was reading I felt like I was IN the story. I’m also a fan of a good ending and this series did not disappoint. I read the first book in one day. It was the first time in a long time that I had found a book that drew me in and kept me engaged in that way. I was up way too late that night and rushed to start the second book at the earliest possible opportunity.

I passed these books on to my mom and my sister. My mom also loved them and couldn’t wait to pass them on to a friend.
